Garden Gifts - April GBBD

How wonderful it is to be in the garden again. To see the plants and flowers emerging and filling in the  gaps is pure joy.

Colors emerge in jewel colors.

I am hosting the Earth Day Reading Project blog meme again this year to celebrate Earth Day. The Earth Day Reading Project is a month long blog meme where bloggers are asked to share in a post what books:

- inspired them to live or garden more sustainably - or -
- inspire their love of nature

and then post it to the meme. If you would like to join in, click the image below:

    2. I have two iris in pots, which my mother got for me from a friend who is passionate about her garden. In the retirement village where they live, the friend has guerilla gardened a chunk across the road as well.
The potted iris are looking at me thru slitted eyes ...

  6. I do love your beautiful irises. I see that we have several plants in common - such as Knock Out roses, calibrachoa, yarrow, and gerberas. It's interesting that so many plants translate very well to different areas and different climates.
