  2. So did I, Donna. I hope someday to construct one...when we don't live in an HOA-governed community.

  3. That is so cool. I think that would be a perfect little green house for my Junior Master Gardeners to build.

  5. AMAZING!!!! How incredibly clever! What a wonderful teaching tool for kids. I wonder how well the soda bottles would hold up to cold temps. Thanks for posting this!! Awesoem blog! I'm adding it to my sidebar. :o)

  6. This is so cool! I once read how many years it takes for plastic bottles to decompose--I don't remember the exact number, but it seemed like forever. What a great way to keep them out of the landfill and recycle them for a terrific project. I'd like to have one of these!

  7. Thanks for stopping by, Karin. Some of these greenhouses were built by children. They seem really easy to build.

  9. Hi Casa Mariposa. I was also wondering how it would hold up to cold temperatures. I also wonder how long it will last overall. Hm-m-m...

  10. Thanks for stopping by, Rose. Maybe they will last a long time in this kind of construction. That would be a nice way of recycling all those bottles.

  11. Hi Sage, Thanks for stopping by my blog, My Garden Gnome, and thanks for the nice comments. I'm really looking forward to becoming involved in Blotanical. I hope I have as much to offer as I've already learned from some really excellent gardeners and photographers. You are incredibly resourceful with your pop bottle greenhouse. It's a wonderful idea. Take care, Mary Gnome (aka Stoblogger)

  15. I've got a plastic bottle greenhouse which has been up for 2 years, this is its third year. Its still standing despite being on a windy allotment, and i haven't had to replace any bottles yet, despite many people telling me they would fall apart within 12 months. Its been covered in snow, and blown prettyhard (it rattles and billows, but doesn't blow down) see my squidoo page on it at http://www.squidoo.com/plasticbottlegreenhouse if you want to know more and see what I've grown in it
